WASHINGTON (DC News Now) — From July 9-11, 32 NATO Heads of State and Government as well as key partners, will be meeting at the NATO summit in D.C.
D.C. police said its department, the United States Secret Service (USSS), United States Park Police (USPP) and other law enforcement agencies will be providing security for the event.
Police said that from Saturday, July 6, 2024, through Friday, July 12, 2024, there will be extra security measures, as well as road closures that will impact traffic in the area of the Washington Convention Center, Mellon Auditorium and the White House.
The following restrictions will impact the area of the Mellon Auditorium and the White House:
From Saturday, July 6, 2024, through Monday, July 8, 2024, there is the potential for intermittent traffic closures in these areas:
